Informationen zu Man in the Mirror

Man in the Mirror, zu deutsch "Mann im Spiegel", ist ein bekannter Popsong des amerikanischen Sängers Michael Jackson. Der Song wurde am 31. August 1987 auf dem siebten Studioalbum, Bad, Jacksons veröffentlicht.

Inhaltlich hält der Song eine tiefe Botschaft parat. Denn man selbst ist in der Lage, die Welt zu einem besseren Ort zu machen, um jedoch die Welt zu verändern, sollte man erst mit sich selbst, also dem Mann, oder allgemeiner der Person, im Spiegel beginnen. Ein Blick in den Spiegel auf sich selbst kann also nicht schaden und schon der erste Schritt dazu sein, etwas zu verändern. Jackson selbst sagte über seinen Song:

Arrangements für Blasorchester

Wie bei einigen anderen Stücken auf dem Markt war es hier auch so, dass uns keines der bestehenden Arrangements voll und ganz zugesagt hat. Weshalb wir auf ein Eigenarrangement unseres Dirigenten zurückgreifen werden, was er dem Orchester "aufs Leib" arrangiert.

Nichtsdestotrotz gibt es ein Arrangement, was wir an dieser Stelle ganz besonders empfehlen können und das ist das von Paul Jennings. Es ist im Grad zwei angesiedelt und nimmt bereits in dem Intro des Songs die Stimmung aus dem Original sehr gut auf. Mit einer Länge von nur 2:15 Minuten eignet es sich sowohö für fortgeschrittene als auch für anfänger Orchester hervorragend. Für 72€ ist das Arrangement von Paul Jennings beim Rundel Musikverlag zu erwerben.
