Fury ist ein Medley für Blasorchteser bestehend aus den drei erfolgreichsten Songs der niedersächsischen Rockband Fury in the Slaughterhouse:
Zuerst einmal: Ja, das Arrangement ist genial aber, ja es ist unverkäuflich (Zwinker)
Unser Dirigent hat mit diesem Arrangement mal wieder bewiesen, dass Blasmusik viel mehr ist als nur "umpta umpta umptata" und Blasmusik auch rocken kann. Das Medley Fury mit den drei bekanntesten Songs der Rockband Fury in the Slaughterhouse begeistert uns nun schon ein paar Monate und es ist, wie es ist, man entdeckt immer wieder neue, besondere Stellen. Sei es die einzigartige Melodie von Radio Orchid, die zuerst die Tenöre und dann das Hochblech aufgreifen oder die Melodie bei Wont Forget these Days, die im Unisono startet und beim Refrain aus dem nichts in die Mehrstimmigkeit wechselt und für pure Gänsehaut sorgt. Und naja, das Finale mit Time to Wonder sorgt natürlich noch einmal mehr für Gänsehaut und einen glorreichen Abschluss des Medleys.
Wie es bei den Arrangements unseres Dirigentens nun mal so ist, sind wie Werke immer - mehr oder weniger - auf das Orchester und die aktuelle Besetzung zugeschnitten. Hier auch wieder. Jedes Register bekommt die Stellen, die es am besten umsetzen kann, alles immer im Sinne der Musik. Das warm weiche Flügelhorn spielt bei Time To Wonder die Melodie beispielsiwese zu Beginn als Solo. Nach und nach setzen dann die anderen Instrumente mit ein. Die Trompeten sind für die etwas markanteren Einwürfe zuständig, die Klarinetten und Flöten für das Getüdel drum herum und die Tenöre für die langen und breiten Melodielinien, wie die bei Radio Orchid. Hier und da sind dann noch kleine Soliparts des Tenorhorns oder Altsaxophons versteckt.
Viel mehr bleibt hier nicht zu sagen. Ein grandioses Medley, das so in der Form aktuell einzigartig in der Welt der Blasmusik ist. Ein großer Dank gilt unserem Dirigenten!
