Back to the Hell of Thunderstruck ist ein Medley der Salinia Eigenmarke oder auch anders gesagt AC/DC für Blasorchester. Es wurde von unserem Dirigenten auf das Orchester zugeschnitten arrangiert, so dass es genau dem Schwierigkeitsgrad entspricht, dem wir gewachsen sind. Es besteht aus drei Klassikern der Hard-Rock-Band AC/DC und zwar keinen anderen als:
Nun aber mal von vorne. Hells Bells ist der Eröffnungssong des Albums Back in Black und bedeutet zu Deutsch nichts anderes als "Höllenglocken. Die mehr als 1 Tonne schwere Glocke, die in dem Lied zum Einsatz kommt, macht ihrem Namen, Höllenglocke, alle Ehre und zeichnet den Song aus. Back in Black ist die dritte Singleauskopplung des gleichnamigen Albums Back in Black, das im Jahr 1980 veröffentlicht wurde. Das Ende des Medleys macht der wohl bekannteste Song der Hard-Rock-Band, Thunderstruck. Das Gitarrenriff hat einen hohen Wiedererkennungswert, bringt jeden Gitarristen zur Verzweiflung. Thunderstruck erschien 1990 auf dem Album The Razors Edge.
Zugegeben, vielleicht waren wir mit der Idee, AC/DC als Blasorchester zu covern, etwas größenwahnsinnig, aber gehört ein bisschen Wahnsinn nicht zum Alltag dazu? Hells Bells ist an und für sich auch als Blasorchester gut spielbar, es hapert nur leider an einer gescheiten "Höllenglocke". Unsere aktuelle Glocke wird durch eine Handyapp imitiert, aber der Klang kommt der original "Höllenglocke" sehr nahe. Back in Black ist tatsächlich ziemlich groovy, wenn alle right in time spielen, wird das `ne ziemlich runde Nummer. Die, spielerisch, größte Herausforderung ist wohl Thunderstruck. Wenn sogar Angus Young selbst sagt, dass er vor jedem Mal Thunderstruck spielen große Angst hat, dann soll das schon was heißen. Bei uns übernimmt das Gitarrenriff das Altsaxophon. Gestoßene 16tel Noten im Tempo 132 bis 138, joa machen wir mal eben. Ohne Doppelzunge geht hier nix, aber die Saxophonistin schlägt sich tapfer.
